Camberley is located 30 miles southwest of central London in the corridor between the M3 and M4 motorways. The office has parking and is convenient for shops and Camberley Rail Station which is 0.6 miles/ a 10 minute walk away.

 

Desk Editor

EEP is seeking a desk editor to join its busy editorial team on a full time basis. The position would suit an experienced editorial assistant seeking to progress. Knowledge/experience of academic and/or textbook publishing would be a bonus. The successful candidate will manage projects from manuscript to final pdf file, while liaising with editors, production and editorial staff, suppliers and freelances. You will need to be careful and methodical as well as flexible and adaptable.

Good communication and organizational skills are essential requirements, as are sound digital skills, as an increasing number of our publications will appear online. Knowledge of some or all of the following software would be beneficial: Word, Acrobat and Filemaker.

The successful candidate will liaise with editors, production and editorial staff, suppliers and freelances. You will need to be careful and methodical as well as flexible and adaptable.

Good communication and organizational skills are essential requirements, as are sound digital skills, as an increasing number of our publications will appear online. Knowledge of some or all of the following software would be beneficial: Word, Acrobat, Photoshop and Filemaker.

We are looking for a graduate with proven office experience to join our busy Research Collections department. Research Collections are our highly acclaimed series of reprint volumes, reproducing articles as originally published. The successful candidate will play a full role in processing volumes, as well as liaising with other departments, external publishers and research assistants. Strong organization, communication and project management skills are essential, along with a keen eye for detail, accuracy and the ability to meet deadlines.
