Modern Classics in Regional Science series

Series editors: Kenneth Button, George Mason University, US and Peter Nijkamp, VU University, Amsterdam, The Netherlands

Modern Classics in Regional Science series brings together, previously published contributions to the field of regional science spanning a period of forty years. The series is intended to look at more recent literature in the field rather than to embrace all the classics which form the foundation of the subject.

Much of the important literature is still spread across a range of sources and is often difficult to access. This series brings together under six major titles outstanding selections of the most important articles which can be considered as modern classics in regional science, making them more accessible to a larger audience. Each collection of papers has been gathered together by the editor with the help of a large international panel.
